Enter Coach Sonnon

In 2001,  a Chiropractor and old martial arts training buddy named Dr. Eric Cobb (a great guy!) e-mailed me raving about a movement artist named SCOTT SONNON (you can find Scott at his RMAX.tv website. I literally cannot say enough good things about this extraordinary man!) In February of 2003 I went to Coach Sonnon s Alpha-Cadre Circular Strength Training seminar.

Now, let me back up. Coach Sonnon is a world-class martial artist (in comparison, the best I ever did was second place at the 1972 National Korean Karate Championships Scott can handle me like a baby!), Internationally ranked in the form of Russian wrestling called Sombo. He was the first westerner invited to train in the former Soviet Union. While there, he was first exposed to the health system now called Zdorovye or Z-Health . Remember those names: in about five years, EVERYONE will know them!

It seems that for the past hundred years, the Russians have been researching health, fitness and performance (durn sneaky Russkies!) They re just as smart as we are, but have one critical advantage their culture is older than America s by almost a thousand years. As a result, there are native health systems that have been tested for fifty generations that have produced longevity, fitness, fierce warriors, beautiful men and women, mental clarity and world-class performance. The Soviets cared about one thing results. And results that could be measured in their Olympic performers, military pilots, and space program. And for a hundred years they poured billions of rubles into this research, and kept it secret from the West.

Well, with the fall of the Soviet Union, many of these scientists found themselves without a job! When they met Scott and realized he could introduce the Z-Health concepts to the west, they flooded this genius American with knowledge, which he brought back to our shores.
